I designed this website as a travel blog with admin pages and tags to make article management easy for a writer on the go.
The goal for this project was to create a blog and an admin interface for a travel blogger and traveler. The project took about 2 weeks to build but has been refined over the last 2 years.
The first task was creating a homepage the showed most recent articles. This process included configuring a SQL database and creating a CRUD interface for users to publish and edit their articles.
The next step was creating the blog page were users were able to select different tagging options and view all published articles on a clear blog page.
After launch, the site was redesigned with a more personal, scrapbook esthetic to better match the travel blog. This redesign included changes to font, images, and color scheme to create a sunny charm to the site.
There have been several iterations of the site. Some of the limitations for this project included a backend part of the site that uses basic WYSIWYG editors. Custom editors will be added in the future redesign to better accommodate more admin inputs.
Looking back on the project, creating a project like this would need:
Have your own project ideas, get in contact and let' make something that is impactful for your business and users.
