01 — Overview

From billboard scan to qualified lead

This landing page was designed to support a tax billboard campaign. It needed to take a user from a QR-code scan to a useful tax debt calculator and lead intake flow.

With no preexisting reference, the project was designed, developed, and prepared for launch in two days. The experience also needed English-to-Spanish language accessibility for the target audience.

The Challenge

A billboard gets attention. The landing page must earn action.

The campaign needed to turn a quick QR-code scan into a useful, trustworthy experience for people seeking tax debt support. The page also had to support Spanish-language accessibility and work well on mobile devices.

Core UX question

How can a short, mobile-first experience collect the right information without making the calculator feel overwhelming?

02 — Design Process

From campaign concept to working calculator

A short turnaround required a focused process built around the QR campaign, lead intake requirements, and mobile user experience.

01

Define

Established the campaign flow from QR code to calculator, lead capture, and tax debt assistance.

02

Build

Created a multi-step calculator component with form questions, validation, and API connection support.

03

Support

Added Spanish-language accessibility, service details, and business information to create confidence.

04

Refine

Iterated on color choices, mobile presentation, and form formatting within the tight project window.

03 — Discovery

Understanding Scope

The goal was to create a landing page in two days that could serve an English-speaking and Spanish-speaking audience from the same campaign.

The page was designed as a QR-driven lead-generation experience, with the calculator serving as the primary entry point for visitors looking for tax debt help.

05 — Calculator Experience

Narrowing Focus

The calculator became the core interaction of the landing page: a form intake process that could guide users through questions about their tax debt.

The build included a multi-step form flow, API connection, input validation, and error handling to create a more reliable lead-capture experience.

UX takeaway

Breaking a complex intake process into smaller questions helps visitors move forward with more confidence.

06 — Trust Building

Brand Building

A calculator alone was not enough. The landing page also needed to show who the tax company was and help visitors feel confident reaching out for assistance.

Company information, supporting content, and service details were added to create authenticity and help users understand the available tax debt support.

07 — Services

Elevated Services

A dedicated services section added context beyond the calculator and showed visitors how the company could assist with tax debt concerns.

This made the landing page more useful for visitors who were still researching support options and were not yet ready to complete the full calculator flow.

  • ✓Clearer tax debt support options
  • ✓More context before form completion
  • ✓Stronger conversion pathway

08 — Iteration

Testing Iterations

The project went through several design iterations, including changes to color direction, form formatting, and the mobile presentation.

The site remained mobile-first throughout the process, with an accessible language-translation button and continued refinement to make the calculator easier to use.

09 — Takeaways

Moving Forward

The project delivered a focused bilingual campaign under a tight timeline, with opportunities to improve the form experience through additional testing.

01

Question Testing

Test calculator questions and form length to identify where visitors may need fewer or clearer steps.

02

Lighter Color Options

Explore additional color directions to create different moods and visual tones for the campaign.

03

More Production Time

A longer timeline would create more room for refinement before launch, especially around detailed form formatting and usability testing.
